Timber & Tackle
card collection

A quiet collection of field tools, habitat milestones and changing conditions. The core game needs only terrain; the sample cards explain the optional pieces around it.

5 sample cards

Pinewater Ranger — illustrated sample card01crew
Reading the next row

Pinewater Ranger

Look at the next two terrain tiles, return them in either order, then continue with your normal choice from the public row.

“A little foresight makes a much kinder shoreline.”

Carved Cedar Minnow — illustrated sample card02tackle
Reserve adjustment

Carved Cedar Minnow

Exchange your reserve tile for any one tile in the public row. This happens before your normal placement, not instead of it.

“A familiar shape, cut to fit an unfamiliar pool.”

Rootwater Bass — illustrated sample card03catch
Habitat milestone

Rootwater Bass

This marker records your first connected group of three pool tiles. It is worth three points at the end and is never awarded twice.

“The water has become a place worth staying.”

Pine-Rain Shift — illustrated sample card04current
Changing choices

Pine-Rain Shift

Discard and replace the entire public row. Apply this event once, then continue with the next player’s ordinary turn.

“The same forest can offer a different path after rain.”

Cabin Supply Stop — illustrated sample card05task
Camp preparation

Cabin Supply Stop

Take one scatter symbol that you do not currently hold. It may complete a set, but it does not create an extra tile placement.

“The useful thing was waiting in the dry corner.”

Choose the table you want to learn

Begin with terrain, matching edges and bass markers. The illustrated guide and tackle cards are optional one-use aids: give each builder one at setup. To add weather, apply a Pine-Rain Shift after everyone’s third and sixth placement. All players still receive exactly nine placements.
